Product Descriptions:

The addition of compressed powder additive to aluminium for alloying purpose is well established. Rapid and consistent alloying is the critical parameter to maximize the efficiency of aluminium cast house operations. Therefore, the use of compacted powder has been favorably adopted by aluminium cast house, due to its speed of dissolution and reproducible recovery for both bulk and trim alloying addition.

Each tablet contains a precise weight of high purity alloying element, Manganese and balance being aluminium or aluminium & sodium free non- hygroscopic fluxes to accelerate dissolution and recovery. In certain critical applications, some users prefer to have no flux (as it produces a slight fuming) and accept longer dissolution time, although some users produce high quality products with flux grades. The longer dissolution time on flux free grade can be shortened by extra stirring.

Recovery of Mn form Mn Tablet (particularly the flux containing grades) can be adversely affected if the melt already contains high level of magnesium (e.g 5XXX series alloys). High recovery of Mn can be achieved by adding and allowing to dissolve, prior to Mg addition.
